Giving a voice to the voiceless

Silence has the power to provoke change.

Wednesday, a portion of ISU's student body proudly partook in the National Day of Silence, a day used to draw attention to those who have been silenced by hate crimes such as violence, discrimination, oppression, prejudice and harassment.

Grigsby prepared for upcoming draft

Former ISU football star Boomer Grigsby is expected to be selected in this weekend´s NFL draft. Grigsby has attended the NFL combine and trained in Atlanta, Ga., in preparation for the draft.
Boomer Grigsby hopefully paid his phone bill this month, because there might be a rather important call coming for him this weekend. That call would be from the NFL team that has chosen him in the 2005 draft.

Grigsby, the middle linebacker from the small Illinois town of Canton, will be anxiously waiting and watching this weekend as he prepares to move his football career to the next level.

ULIDs will expire weeks after graduation

After graduating from ISU, students will not be able to depend on their ISU Web-mail for very long.

According to Carla Birckelbaw, director of Computer Infrastructure Support Services, Web-mail and a student's ULID expire shortly after graduation.

"There is a four-month grace period after graduation," she said.
